Stephani Cook’s unique background includes expertise in strategic planning, corporate and brand positioning and consumer insight work coupled with strong academic credentials. She has been particularly active in large-scale corporate positioning projects, having led special global task forces for both Citibank and Nestle.

Stephani was previously EVP, Director of Leadership Strategy, a global position at D’Arcy Worldwide, and prior to that was EVP, Director of Strategic Planning, at

Lowe & Partners/SMS.

She has also held departmental directorships at Publicis-Bloom, Campbell-Mithun-Esty New York, the Television Bureau of Advertising, and was Manager of Creative Planning at Dentsu Young & Rubicam. She began her advertising career at Young & Rubicam.

Prior to entering advertising, Stephani had a private practice in psychotherapy as well as a career as a writer (she has published three books with Simon & Schuster, and continues to write for magazines, most recently GQ).

Stephani is a graduate of Barnard College, attended Columbia’s School of Architecture, and has two M.A.’s from Columbia’s Teachers College, where she also did her Ph.D. work in counseling psychology. She was a long-time member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Retail Advertising and Marketing Association, and was a two-term member of the Board of the New York Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
